We teach reward based, positive reinforcement training.
The goal is to build a good relationship with your dog with life skills training; based on things you and your dog are likely to encounter through his/her life.
SAFETY NEEDS
- Some exercises require bending or kneeling. Wearing comfortable clothes such as jeans/slacks/shorts in which you can easily move around is best.
- Enclosed footwear is required such as sneakers/loafers.
- Thongs, slip-ons, high heels or bare feet should not be worn.
- No smoking is permitted during classes.
- Your dog should have a small snack before class. It is best not to work him/her on either an empty, or a full, stomach.
- Training treats/food will be used during classes (not supplied).
Please ensure you bring plenty – not just your dog’s normal dry food – chicken, dog roll, sausage, bits of meat –cut into small pieces are all great foods to use
- Dogs and puppies must arrive at class on a flat collar and with a soft 180cm (6ft) lead. Head halters (adults)/harnesses are also welcome.
- Please note that check/choke chains are not to be worn.
- Dog droppings must be picked up by the handler.
IF YOUR DOG IS UNWELL please do not bring him to training without first speaking to your vet. You may be putting the other dogs at risk.
IF YOU’RE DOG IS NOT CURRENTLY VACCINATED PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE TRAINING
Due to the number of places available in each class being strictly limited we are unable to give refunds once you are enrolled.
Failure to attend will be invoiced
Occasionally a dog does not prove suitable for a group training class. If such a circumstance arises with your dog, other training options may be offered.
If your dog is reactive, aggressive or fearful to either people or dogs, then a class situation may not be appropriate – please call to discuss before booking
